Prof. Ahmed Rashed
The founding director of Farouk El-Baz Centre of Sustainability and Future Studies (FECSFS)
Professor and the former head of the Architecture Department at the British University in Egypt and the founding director of the Centre of Sustainability and Future Studies (CSFS). His profession is Architecture and Urban Planning/Design.
The Credit goes to Prof Ahmad Rashad for establishing “Farouk Elbaz Library” to be part of the Farouk Elbaz Centre of Sustainability and Future Studies (FECSFS). The goal is to make the technology transfer and make all these studies available for Youth, undergraduates, graduates, scientific researchers and future generations.
The project started with creating an actual Library from the gifted document to allow researchers to visit the British University to look at Books; then, the project developed to publish an honorary website for Prof. Farouk Elbaz and include his library as soft copies.
Prof Ahmad Rashad assigned Dr Hala Nabil to establish the library in hard and soft copies. Dr Hala started in the library in November 2019.
Team Responsibilities
Dr. Hala Nabil
The Team Leader of the project, where responsibility comprises categorising, numbering, analysing, coding, stamping, scanning and responsible for establishing the Farouk El-Baz website, includes the library as a search engine.
G.D. Samar Elhawary
The responsibility includes the “Farouk Elbaz Library” logo’s design, selecting the website’s main theme and any product related to library marketing and advertisements. She is the main engine for the Library’s final image.
Arch. Salma Fathi
The responsibility includes the “Farouk Elbaz documents ” scanning and responsible for establishing the Farouk El-Baz website. She is the main engine for the Library’s marketing and finance.
Additional Support
Arch. Basma Shaheen gave a hand in Categorizing the Magazine Documents of the library in the first stage.
Arch. Merna Ali gave a hand in Categorizing research fields related to Prof Farouk Elbaz’s library to help specialists in their research.
